Why a van beats a skip on Corsham's older streets
Much of central Corsham sits inside a conservation area, and the Bath-stone terraces along the High Street, Church Street and Priory Street were never built with a skip lorry in mind. Drop a skip there and you're into a council permit, lights, and days of it narrowing an already tight road. Our Luton van pulls up, we load by hand and with the sack truck, and we're gone the same visit — nothing left sitting outside your cottage, and no permit to chase. On the newer Pickwick and Rudloe roads where you might have a drive, it's the same story: we don't block it for a week, we clear it and go.
Clearances right across Corsham, Pickwick and Rudloe
We cover the whole town week in, week out — the centre around the Martingate precinct and Corsham Court, the Pickwick estates off the A4, and the Rudloe and Leafield side toward the MoD site. Out from there we're regularly in Gastard, Neston, Box, Colerne and Biddestone, and over toward Lacock. With so many people in and around Corsham tied to MoD Corsham and shorter-term postings, we do a lot of end-of-tenancy and moving-out clear-outs, as well as everyday garage, loft and garden tidy-ups. Tell us the street when you book and we'll plan parking and access before we arrive.
What we'll take away — and the one thing we can't
Furniture and sofas, beds and mattresses, wardrobes, white goods like fridges and washing machines, garden and shed waste, garage clutter, general household bags and broken bits of flat-pack — if you can point at it, we can usually load it. We handle single awkward items right up to a full house clearance. The main thing we can't take is paint tins and similar hazardous waste, which has to go through a separate route, so please keep those aside. If you're not sure about something in the garage, send a quick photo on WhatsApp to 07742 791139 and we'll tell you straight away.
Volume pricing, no VAT, and we do the tip run
Like a skip, you pay for the space your waste takes up in the van rather than by the hour — from around £150 for a van load, with no VAT added on top. Single items are fixed and simple: a single bed is £80, an armchair £84, a sofa £95, and a fridge, double bed or washing machine £120. Because we take everything away ourselves, you skip the trip to the household recycling centre over at Chippenham entirely, along with its closed days and the job of loading your own car. Whatever we quote, the final price is confirmed on arrival before any lifting starts — no surprises.
Licensed carrier, proper paperwork, nothing fly-tipped
We're a registered upper-tier waste carrier with the Environment Agency, licence CBDU445737, and every collection comes with a waste transfer note if you'd like one — that's your proof the waste left your hands responsibly, which matters under your household duty of care. The quiet lanes around Box, Gastard and Neston see their share of fly-tipping, and we won't add to it: your waste goes through licensed transfer and recycling routes, and we re-use or recycle whatever can be saved rather than sending it all to landfill. Fully insured for goods in transit and public liability throughout.
How soon we can get to you in Corsham
We're often able to come same-day or next-day, depending on how the week is filling up and the size of the job. Ring or WhatsApp 07742 791139 with a rough idea of what you've got — a couple of rooms, a garage, a garden's worth of green waste — and we'll give you a ballpark and a slot. We're not based in Corsham; we run from a base over toward Bristol and cover the town regularly, with travel costed fairly rather than padded, so you always know where the price comes from.
